Working closely with the client’s facilities and estates team, the Spectrum Workplace design team developed a design solution for the corporate reception space that gave the desired look and functionality but also came within budget.
The project included complete refurbishment of the reception and atrium areas. The scope of works included bespoke reception counter, access control, a combination of hard and soft flooring, decorative wall panels, bespoke audio-visual and touchdown unit, soft seating and bistro style furniture.
The breakout space was located immediately behind the reception area in the central atrium. This combined a coffee bar, meeting pods, bespoke audio-visual unit, touchdown desk, tables and chairs.
The design proposal included both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional photo realistic renders of the proposed reception area.
Using the Skandia and Old Mutual corporate colour palette, a range of reception seating and informal meeting spaces were created. Also provided were some meeting rooms including a bespoke tapered meeting table with electric rise/fall monitor.
